|Junction City, KY (October 20, 2016) Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenivs have unfortunately had to cancel the track’s Fan Appreciation Night events scheduled for Friday October 21 due to the wet conditions from rain on Thursday and more rains forecasted for overnight along with the colder temperatures predicted for the evening on Friday October 21 as well.
“I don’t like to cancel an event this early, but with the rain that we have already received and the forecast for more overnight (on Thursday) and predicted cooler temperatures expected on Friday after this cold front passes through our area, we felt it to be in the best interest of our racers and race fans to cancel this event”, stated track promoter Jamie Stumph. “We hope everyone will make plans to join us for the Junebug and Fall Classic events at the track on Friday November 4 and Saturday November 5, as we are expecting a great turnout of race teams for those events”, added Stumph.
The next events on the schedule at Ponderosa Speedway will conclude the track’s 2016 racing season on Friday November 4 with the 16th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial and on Saturday November 5 with the 26th Annual Fall Classic.
