Ponderosa Speedway Announces Modified and KDRA Super Stock Tire Rule Update
Junction City, KY (March 12, 2017) Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph would like to announce an update to the tire rule for the track’s Open Wheel Modified and KDRA Super Stock divisions.

For both divisions, the following tires will be legal: Hoosier- M30, M60; American Racer- Hard and Extra Hard. The track will allow the following tire compounds to be used also until the time they are scheduled to be out of circulation, which should be by July 1: Hoosier A40, A40S, and H40. NO grooving of any tires will be allowed. Siping will be allowed on the Hoosier A40, H40, and M60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. These compounds will be the legal tire compounds on all four corners of the race cars.
Ponderosa Speedway will begin its 45th season of dirt track racing competition with a pair of open practice events on Saturday March 25 and Friday March 31, while the green flag for racing will officially drop on the season with a special Saturday April 1 season opener that will be highlighted by the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Division Series racing for $2,000 to win that evening.
